Athens, GA – Two people are dead and one other is critically injured after a shooting at a parking lot early Saturday morning, March 14, 2026.  

As reported by Fox5Atlanta.com, “[t]he Athens Police Department said officers responded to the 400 block of North Jackson around 2:20 a.m. When they arrived at the scene, they found three victims. One person was already deceased, and the other two were rushed to the hospital.”

WSBtv.com is reporting, “Athens-Clarke County police have confirmed that a second victim has died…Dylan Bentley, 19, died from his injuries on Sunday.” 

Per the report, “[t]he third victim remains at Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition. Family identified him to [WSBtv] as Landon Skinner, 20.”
