According to the authorities, deputies responded to a reported assault at an apartment early Sunday morning after a man called 911 and said he and his girlfriend had been attacked. The caller reportedly told dispatchers that the suspect struck both victims with a baseball bat before he was able to escape and contact emergency services.

When deputies arrived at the residence, they reportedly found a woman outside suffering from a head injury, and she was bleeding. She allegedly told deputies that the suspect attacked her with the bat before going back inside the apartment.

According to reports, the incident happened on April 28 at an autism therapy facility in Richmond County. Investigators reportedly reviewed surveillance footage after someone contacted law enforcement about what allegedly took place inside the center.

Police said the video allegedly showed the employee using her foot against the child’s face and back while the boy was on the ground. The authorities also claimed the worker stepped on the child as he attempted to get back up from the floor.

According to investigators, the incident began after the couple argued at the woman’s residence on April 11. During the dispute, the man allegedly took the woman’s phone, which led to another confrontation outside the home. The authorities said the woman, who was five months pregnant, then allegedly tried several times to strike him with her vehicle while he was walking away from the property.

A witness identified as the woman’s sister reportedly told investigators that the woman attempted to hit the man with the car multiple times before he pulled her out of the vehicle and took her keys. The authorities said he then entered the residence and temporarily prevented her from going back inside.

The situation reportedly began when the 50-year-old entered a private beach area behind a condominium complex and asked to use a beach chair. Witnesses told the authorities he was turned away because he was not a resident. He allegedly became upset and grabbed a nearby umbrella, swinging it at someone.

Shortly after, the man allegedly picked up a drill that had a long sand-digging attachment and ran toward a person while yelling that he was going to kill him. One individual reportedly ran away, and witnesses said the man continued moving down the beach while holding the drill. Several people observed him running and described the tool as several feet long.

According to the authorities, the incident was reported shortly after 7:20 p.m. at a residence in Fulton. A caller told emergency dispatchers that a delivery driver had reportedly become upset, hit a person with a car, and then left the area.

Investigators later located the driver at a local restaurant, where he was taken into custody. He was charged with first-degree assault, armed criminal action, and leaving the scene of an accident.

According to court records, eight people were charged, including a Salem man accused of taking part in a federal drug conspiracy. The man was arrested, appeared in court, and was later released while awaiting trial.

Investigators said the case involved a trafficking network allegedly tied to Mexico that continued supplying drugs into the United States, with associates in Oregon and California to distribute them. Authorities said the group used several methods to move narcotics, including mailing packages disguised as everyday items.

The investigation reportedly started after an ambulance request around 1 a.m. When officers arrived, they found a man inside a Memphis restaurant who appeared to be screaming and in distress while holding a baby. Witnesses told the authorities that the situation had escalated quickly moments before officers got there.

According to reports, the man had been seen earlier at more than one gas station carrying the infant and asking strangers for help. Witnesses said he appeared panicked and left each location before eventually entering the restaurant.

According to court documents, the incident allegedly occurred in the early morning hours of April 10 at a bar in Lexington. The authorities said an argument began between two individuals inside the establishment. At some point, another man reportedly stepped in and attempted to calm the situation.

Investigators said the situation escalated when the suspect allegedly reacted by striking the man in the face. The blow reportedly caused the victim to fall backward and hit his head on the ground. The victim was said to have lost consciousness for several minutes following the impact.

The incident was reported on April 24 at a massage business in Liberty. A client told the authorities he had gone to the location seeking treatment for back pain. During the session, he said he was first positioned on his stomach while the therapist worked on his back. He later claimed the therapist instructed him to turn over. After that, the therapist allegedly began touching his upper body before moving lower, pulling down his clothing, and making inappropriate contact. The client said he immediately ended the session and left the business.

When the authorities arrived, they spoke with the therapist, who reportedly claimed that only two female clients had been seen that day and that both were currently in sessions. After the authorities explained the complaint, the therapist allegedly stated she did not understand English and said she spoke Mandarin. A translator was then used during further questioning.

According to court records, the case came to light after the child was taken for medical care, where staff allegedly observed bruising across much of his body. The injuries, along with signs that he may have been restrained, raised concerns and led the authorities to open an investigation on April 22.

During that investigation, the man was questioned and allegedly described a system of punishments he said he created. He reportedly told the authorities that the children would be forced to perform exercises such as squats, planks, and wall sits when they got in trouble. He allegedly said the discipline was often used when the children took candy or other treats without permission.
