The incident reportedly took place late Sunday night, April 5, near a gated community. According to an arrest report, the driver had been instructed to meet the customer outside the neighborhood because he did not have access through the gate.

Investigators said the situation escalated after the food was handed over. The customer placed the order inside his vehicle, but the driver’s app allegedly did not show the delivery as complete. The driver then reportedly insisted the food be returned, claiming he would not be paid unless the delivery was marked properly at the listed address.

Investigators said the case began on July 20, 2025, when deputies responded to a report of fraudulent use of an electronic benefit transfer (EBT) card at a Walmart in Cooper City. That call led to a broader investigation that lasted several months. During that time, the authorities said they interviewed more than 30 victims and later identified roughly 200 people who were impacted.

According to the authorities, the woman allegedly obtained EBT card numbers, PINs, and account balances from multiple sources. Officials said the information was reportedly sent to her electronically through phones. Detectives alleged she then used the stolen data to make unauthorized purchases, often buying items such as energy drinks and sports drinks.

The investigation began late Monday morning when a woman reportedly called 911 and said she needed help. She told dispatchers she had gotten into an argument with someone inside the home, according to an arrest affidavit cited by local media.

When officers arrived, they made contact with a man outside the residence. He reportedly admitted that he and his wife had been arguing. According to the authorities, he said the disagreement started after he locked himself in a bedroom while his wife banged on the door. He allegedly told officers he became upset, opened the door, and moved a shoe rack into a different room.

The woman, 27, was later taken into custody days after the incident. Court records reportedly showed she faced multiple charges, including attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and several related offenses. She was released after posting a $75,000 bond.

The incident happened on a Wednesday while a 42-year-old man was working at the car wash. He reportedly told a local news outlet that his former partner of several years arrived unexpectedly and approached him while he was on the job.

The incident happened around 2:30 a.m. on December 10, when the authorities said a vehicle was observed speeding well above the posted limit and drifting within its lane. An officer initiated a stop and told the driver he had been going more than 60 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone and had been swerving.

During the encounter, the authorities said the driver showed signs that were consistent with possible intoxication. An officer noted that his eyes appeared red and glassy and claimed there was an odor of alcohol. When questioned, the driver first reportedly minimized his drinking, then later denied having consumed any alcohol at all.

According to the authorities, the incident took place on April 4 at around 11:30 p.m. after a group had been out together near a shopping area in Charlotte. Investigators said the group later left and continued driving through the city.

Officers reported that they met with the group a short time after the shooting at another location. The individuals told authorities they had been followed by someone they knew. Investigators later reviewed traffic camera footage, which reportedly showed flashes coming from a vehicle alongside theirs, along with damage to the car’s windows.

During efforts to take the driver into custody, the individual allegedly became combative, biting, and physically resisting officers. The authorities said one officer suffered minor injuries. Patrol vehicles had already been positioned to block the roadway when the driver reportedly rammed two of them, causing moderate damage.

Earlier in the incident, spike strips were deployed with assistance from the Sutter County Sheriff’s Office, which reportedly disabled the vehicle. After coming to a stop near SR-99 and Bishop Avenue, the driver allegedly refused to exit and later attempted to flee again, losing control a second time near SR-99 and Paseo Road.

According to the authorities, deputies with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported arson at a residence. When they arrived, they found the home fully engulfed in flames.

Investigators said the victim told deputies that her son had allegedly returned to the home with a container of gasoline after an ongoing dispute related to her efforts to evict him. As she attempted to leave the residence, he reportedly poured gasoline on both her and the house before igniting it. The victim also claimed her phone was destroyed to prevent her from calling 911.

According to investigators, the operation centered on a shop in Houston, where the suspect was taken into custody on March 31 during the execution of a search warrant. The raid was carried out by multiple units, including an auto crimes task force, as part of an ongoing investigation into suspicious vehicle liens.

The authorities alleged the scheme relied on filing fraudulent mechanic’s liens, which allowed the suspect to claim that expensive repair work had been performed on vehicles that reportedly showed no signs of damage. In some cases, those claims reportedly reached $60,000 or more. Officials said inspections revealed that no repairs had been completed, and that documentation supporting the claims may have been falsified.

According to the authorities, the investigation began when a resident called 911 to report that two individuals in a white SUV had allegedly thrown a black backpack onto private property along a road just off the highway. Deputies later recovered the bag and said it contained a large quantity of suspected meth, a smaller amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and personal belongings.

The investigators removed the suspected drugs and placed the backpack back where it had been found while monitoring the area with a trail camera. The authorities said they believed the individuals would return.
