One woman is dead after a shooting at a Columbus, GA mobile home park early Monday morning, April 15, 2024.
As reported by WRBL.com, “the homicide happened at a trailer park on Morris Road…officers responded to the 800 block of Morris Road at about 12:49 a.m.”
WTVM.com is reporting, “[u]pon arrival, they discovered a female – identified as Jakesa Josey – dead at the scene. EMS arrived but could not resuscitate her. Josey died from her injuries from an apparent gunshot wound(s).
According to the report, a “Deputy Coroner…arrived at the scene and pronounced the victim dead at 1:28 a.m.”
The investigation is ongoing.
