Methuen, Massachusetts: Two Elderly Pedestrians Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle

August 27, 2014 – James, 74, and Marilyn Sarcione, 77, both of Methuen, Massachusetts, have sustained serious personal injuries after being hit by a car.  The accident happened on Monday morning in the parking lot of Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.

According to the Methuen Police Department, Martin Tokowicz, 74, also of Methuen, was attempting to back his vehicle into a parking spot when he lost control of his vehicle and struck the Sarciones as well as a parked car.  James and Marilyn were transported to Lawrence General Hospital for medical treatment.  James was later airlifted to Massachusetts General Hospital due to the severity of his injuries.

No charges have been filed and the matter remains under investigation by the Methuen Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police Reconstruction Unit.
