Schuylkill County has schedule a Fall Clean Up that will be open to all county residents.
The clean up is scheduled from September 12th to September 24th and will be funded through the County Commissioners Office at the State Department of Environmental Protection.
The Clean Up will accept tires, electronics, appliances and bulky items.
There will be 14 collection sites throughout the county, each of which is listed below:
- Pottsville
- Hegins Township
- Minersville Borous
- CES Landfill
- Girardville
- North Manheim Township
- Schuylkill Haven
- Wayne Township
- Pine Grove Township
- Porter Township
- Pine Grove
- Tamaqua Transfer Station
- Ringtown
- Tremont Borough
A cost may be associated with some items, but most items will be disposable for free.

During the 2015, the county collected:
- 60.59 tons of tires
- 288 tons of electronics
- 65.66 tons in scrap metal and appliances
- 79.08 tons in bulky items
