An apartment fire in Jacksonville, FL early Friday morning, April 19, 2024, tragically claimed one life.

As reported by FirstCoastNews.com, “[t]he fire started at 3:45 a.m., as the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department says it was a 2-alarm fire. It happened at the Belle Rive Club Apartment Homes.”

ActionNewsJax.com is reporting, “three units were involved in the fire and two of those units suffered severe damage. But along with the damage, that fire killed one man, who was described as a senior.”

Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire.

One man was shot at a Memphis, TN strip mall Tuesday night, April 16, 2024.

As reported by Fox13Memphis.com, “[a]ccording to Memphis Police, the shooting happened near a strip mall on 7041 E. Shelby Drive.”

ActionNews5.com is reporting, “Memphis police were called to the shopping center at 7041 East Shelby Drive at 9:27 p.m. From there, the victim was rushed to Regional One Hospital in critical condition.”

One man was shot at a Durham, NC shopping center Friday morning, April 19, 2024.

As reported by WRAL.com, “[a] man died from a shooting in Durham on Friday morning. Police said the man was shot at The Village Shopping Center at the corner of Miami Boulevard and Raynor Street.”

According to the report, “[f]irst responders arrived shortly after 10 a.m. and took the man to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.”
