Amish Buggy Struck by Passing Truck, Two Injured and One Killed as a Result
Earlier this month in Fryburg, Pennsylvania, one man was killed and two others injured when a truck driver crashed into the back of an Amish buggy. According to one local news source reporting on the accident, the incident occurred around 4:40 in the afternoon on a small local highway. Evidently, the twenty-five-year-old truck driver did not see the Amish buggy as his truck approached it from behind and the two vehicles collided. The buggy was thrown from the road and the truck flipped over and then slid down an embankment.
All three aboard the buggy were thrown from the vehicle. One man was pronounced dead on the scene by emergency workers, the other two were taken to the hospital where it is expected that they will recover from their injuries. The driver of the truck was not seriously injured.
